Purpose of this chapter
This chapter provides detailed guidance on the procedure for installing the hood over the combi oven.
This chapter is intended solely for an installation engineer and authorized customer service engineer.
4.1  

 Safe working during assembly and pre-installation

For your safety
Before starting work, familiarize yourself with the hazards described in 'Hazards and safety precau‐
tions during assembly and pre-installation' on page 14.
Qualifications for personnel performing assembly
Only qualified personnel from an authorized service company are permitted to assemble and pre-in‐
stall the appliance.
Personal protective equipment
Wear the personal protective equipment specified in the section 'Personal protective equipment' on
page 28 of the 'For your safety' chapter for the relevant tasks.
Moving heavy loads
Risk of injury from lifting incorrectly
When lifting the appliance, the weight of the appliance may lead to injuries, especially in the area of
the torso.
Use a forklift or pallet truck to place the hood on the appliance or to reposition it.
To shift the appliance into the correct position, lift the appliance using enough people for the weight
of the appliance (guide value: 15 to 55 kg max., depending on age and gender). Observe the local
occupational safety regulations.
Wear personal protective equipment.
Live parts
Risk of electric shock from live parts and damaged cables
When the safety cover is open, there is a risk of electric shock from touching live parts.
Make sure that any work on the electrical system is performed solely by a qualified electrician from
an authorized service company.
Switch off the combi oven before removal of the top box of the combi oven.
Take special care for jobs that require electrical power and must be performed with the appliance's
top box removed.

casing or the electrical box cover removed.
Always reinstall the hood casing and electrical box cover before the power to the hood is switched
on again.
Make sure that the electrical connections are intact and connected securely.
