4 VRF MONITORING SYSTEM DEBUG

After the VRF monitoring system is installed and connected, follow the procedure below to debug it.

4.1 Air Conditioner System Debug

Before debugging air conditioners, set the air conditioning systems first, including:
Step 1: Set the master ODU for the single system network and the centralized control address for
the multi-system network.
(1) Check the DIP switch of the master ODU for each air conditioner system. For details, refer to
part 1 security requirements_3 ―Function setting of ODUS‖ in chapter 3 commissioning operation.
(2) For the multi- air conditioner system network, check the address DIP switch of each air
conditioner system. For details, refer to part 1 security requirements_3 ―Function setting of ODUS‖ in
chapter 3 commissioning operation.
Step 2: Set IDU engineering number.
If there are conflict IDU engineering numbers (C5), you are advised to manually set them using
Gree Debugger or control panel, refer to part 1 engineering debugger_5 ―Using Debugger‖ in chapter 5
remote control. Manual setting is applicable to intra-ODU conflicts only, not affecting numbers of other
IDUs.

4.2 Communication Debug between Gateways and Air Conditioning Units

Step 1: Set matched resistance of CAN2 bus.
As shown in the preceding figure, the master ODU at the end of the CAN2 bus need to be
configured with a matched resistance, see ④.
Step 2: Power off air conditioning units and gateways and then power them on.
Step 3: View communication LEDs.
Check whether the CAN_RX LED corresponding to the gateway is flashing. If not, check
