CONFIGURING THE TRANSPORTAL INTERLOCK MONITOR

This section provides detailed instructions for configuring the TransPortal Interlock
Monitor (TIM) for operation. By this time, the unit is presumed to be physically installed,
that a working network connection has been established, and that the unit has been
turned on, initialized and is active. The Communication and System Status LEDs
should show "all green" status on the top panel of the unit.
This section provides guidance on how to perform the following configuration steps:
1. Configuring the M
embedded servlet.
2. Configuring TIM operating parameters using the embedded web server.
3. Configuring SNMP Event Traps using the Microsoft Excel spreadsheet tool.
4.1. Configuring the M
The MLK configuration can be changed using the TIM internal configuration servlet.
The servlet can be accessed locally through the Ethernet jack (typically ETH0) on the
TIM or remotely through the WAN port (typically ETH1), by adding the port and directory
information (typically ":10000/microlok") to the IP address of the TIM. See Figure 4-1.
