7.2. Switching on the LPS centralised power unit

To switch on the LPS centralised power unit two situations may occur
depending on the initial status:
• from standby →
6.3.6 remote control
power unit
• from power off:
When the centralised power unit starts operating, the system's
synoptic display will be shown. All parameters required for use must
now be configured (see

7.2.1 Circuit test

The device continuously monitors consumption in each of the output circuits. If at any
time the consumption in a circuit exceeds the set fault threshold, a fault will be indicated
in the circuit.
The luminaires connected to the circuit must be checked as a circuit overload can lead to
a malfunction of the luminaires.
Once the over-consumption fault has been corrected (redistribution of luminaires to other
circuits, switching off luminaires, etc.) run a circuit test to correct the fault, see
Actions
When performing a test on the circuit, the battery must be
disconnected from the system and the emergency lighting system will
!
not be available; therefore it must only be performed when failure of
the emergency lighting system does not pose any hazard.

7.2.2 ELC luminaires zoning

If the system supplies ELC luminaires, zoning will need to be run in order to determine
the luminaires' physical connection to the output circuits, see
During the execution of a zoning system, the luminaires will switch off,
!
but the lighting system will remain active and therefore must only be
run when the inhibition of permanent luminaires is not a danger.
During the zoning, all the luminaires are switched off and sequentially lit assigning them
to the area that corresponds depending on the circuit in which they are connected.
The process takes around 15 minutes. Once the process is complete the system returns
to normal operation.
If there is a power supply fault during zoning, the process will end and the system will
switch on all connected luminaires.
Zoning must be performed during start-up or whenever a new ELC
series
extensions) or whenever luminaires are moved from one circuit to
another.
