6.1 Splice

In normal operation mode, to call the splice menu, press
the splice menu as below. There're already various splice modes and whatever the
user can select for easy operation. Also the splice mode will be stored up to 100. The
splice mode is classified as a normal mode and a user mode.
Normal splice mode: mode number 1 to 42
User splice mode: mode number 43 to 100

The
Swift
KR12A
automatically. Users are not allowed adjusting arc
discharge amount.
AUTO mode consists of SM AUTO, MM AUTO, NZ AUTO, DS
AUTO, G657 AUTO.
For splicing basic single mode fibers. MFD is 9~10um at
the wavelength of 1310nm.
For splicing NZDS fibers. MFD is 9~10um at the wavelength
of 1550nm. WDM fibers can be spliced in this mode as
well.
