5.2.3 Electrodes Replacement
The recommended replacement cycle of an electrode is 3,000 times. If the real arc
count exceeds the replacement cycle, a message for electrodes replacement
appears. Without replacing the worn electrode, the splice loss increases and the
spliced point becomes weaker.
i. Turn off the splicer power.
ii. Open the electrode block and unscrew the bolt.
iii. Remove the electrode block and take out the used electrode.
iv. Carefully clean the new electrodes with a cotton swab soaked in alcohol and
install them.
v. Turn on the power. Perform the stabilization of the electrode by running the
[Electrode Stabilize] menu.
