Readhead mounting and alignment
Accurate bracket and feeler gauge
Suitable for:
Applications where the readhead mounting bracket allows adjustment of rideheight with a bracket thickness of 2 ±0.02 mm
Required parts:
' L ' mount bracket (A-9402-0037) or customer designed bracket with a thickness of 2 ±0.02 mm *
2 × bracket mounting screws
0.5 mm feeler gauge
2 × M2 × 6 screws
ATOM DX readhead
1.
Mount the readhead onto the bracket.
2.
Loosely mount the readhead bracket onto the axis.
3.
Place the feeler gauge between the readhead bracket and the scale.

4.
Tighten the bracket fixing screws whilst ensuring good contact between bracket, shim and surface of the scale.
5.
Connect the readhead to the receiving electronics and power-up.
6.
Check the readhead set-up LED is flashing Green along the full axis of travel.
