After learning,you have preliminary mastered the the detector operation already.In the
field, due to the influence of the environment,such as soil,sea sand, mineral and the effect
of the electromagnetic field,especially underwater,the sensitivity of the detector and the
location of discrimination will all have a change. So you should test repeatedly,accumulate
experience,in order to master the skills of detection gradually,and feel the treasure of hap-
piness.
Metal detector is used outdoors.There is too much metals indoors,and all kinds of electrical
equipment that will bring interference signals. So it is not fit for using the detector indoors.
Field detection is more complicated, the composition of the regional soil, the component,
size, shape and the oxidation degree of the underground metals will all affect the detection
results. This chapter is only the general steps of the field detection.You should operate
again and again, accumulate experience to achieve good results.
1. Rotate the SENS knob to the right,switch on the power supply. The detector will sound
a Du tone,and the LED will flash once.
2. The users always expect to set the sensitivity more higher.However,in the higher sensi-
tivity range,the detector will be sensitive to the electromagnetic interference that comes
from the power lines or cables around,and it will do abnormal reaction to the minera-
lization soil or electrical conductivity soil. If you move the search coil in the detection
area,and the detector sends an unstable false signal,please decrease the sensitivity.
3. In general,the operator can choose the position of A-M.At this time,the unit will re-
spond to all kinds of metals. After the target being found,and then differentiate the
metal category roughly with the aid of DISC knob.From the position of "A-M" , adjust
to the MAX position clockwise,the rough order of the rejected metals is iron,nickel,pull-
tab,zinc,brass and aluminum.Please note that silver can't be rejected,the location of
aluminum is very close to silver,and the location of gold is close to pull-tab.
If the operator is very experienced,and has clear detection targets,can also directly set
the DISC in the appropriate location.For example,if there is undesired metals,such as
iron,pull-tabs,ans so on scrap metals in the detection area,you should turn the DISC
knob near by 12:00 to 2:00, reject the "scrap metals",in order to reduce the unneces-
sary interference.
Since the mineralization soil, the sea water will make the detection location deviation,we
suggest the user bring some samples, such as iron nail, pull-tab,coins and silver coins.
Bury these samples in the soil of the detection region respectively,try to detect,and
observe the DISC location where all kinds of metals are rejected. It will help you judge
the type of the target,in case you omit the treasures that you want to find.
