OPERATION AND SETTINGS

The metal detector can distinguish between iron and non-iron. The pointer of
the display goes off when a metal object is found.
Setting the metal detector
1. Switch the device on.
2. Adjust the volume to one third. Set DISC to
the middle position.
3. Hold the red knob on the handle and slowly
turn TUNE to the right and left until the
pointer on the display shows almost 0.
4. You have now set the unit.
5. You can use DISC for fine adjustment.
Testing and using the detector
To learn how the detector reacts to different metals, you should try it out
before you plan to use it properly for the first time. You can test the detector
inside and outside.
Carrying out a test inside
1. Switch the device on.
2. Place the detector on a wooden or plastic table, then remove any watches,
rings or other metallic jewellery you are wearing.
3. Hold the search ring with the flat side facing
the ceiling. NOTE: Never test the detector
on the floor of a building. Most floors contain
metal, this could cause interference with the
objects you want to search.
4. Turn the volume control to 1/3.
5. Set DISC to the middle position.
6. Now sweep the ferrous object back and forth 5 cm in front of the search
ring.
