7 BEHAVIOUR DESCRIPTION
7.1 Reset function
Pressing the reset key in the lock-out status (status 0) the MPA can
be reset. The key has to be held down for at least ¼ of a second to
distinguish the action from any EMC pulse disturbances. The same
is valid for 230 V reset.
According to Standard DIN EN 14459 (appendix J), the number of
possible resets is limited to 5 in 15 minutes. This means that after 5
resets performed in short time intervals the automatic device does
not allow further resets. The MPA can be reset again after a waiting
time during which the MPA is supplied by power.
The waiting time is 15 minutes or 3 minutes per reset.

Prolonged reset
The above described limit of 5 resets in 15 minutes can be cleared
using the "prolonged reset".
In this case the reset button should be pressed for at least 5 seconds
(10 seconds max) (the display starts flashing after 5 seconds).
The "prolonged reset" is active in all MPA operating statuses,
therefore using the "prolonged reset", you could have the MPA
perform a safety deactivation with restart e.g. during operation with
presence of flame.
The prolonged reset is not possible via the 230V reset input.
