The low-pressure solvent lines between the degassing unit's outlet ports and the proportioning
valve inlets and the high-pressure solvent lines between the LDA outlet and the placeholder
module inlet are pre-plumbed at the factory.
Before you can operate the LC pump, you must connect the solvent reservoir lines to the
degasser inlets and the placeholder module outlet to the autosampler inlet.

The Accela 600 (and 1250) Pump Inlet Tubing Kit contains four preassembled solvent
reservoir lines and the Accela System Kit contains four solvent reservoir bottles and four
solvent reservoir bottle caps.
Each solvent reservoir line consists of a 1.8 m (6 ft) length of 0.0625 in. ID × 1/8 in. OD,
fluorinated ethylene propylene (FEP) tubing with a color-coded Super Flangeless fitting at
one end and a 20 μm particle size, stainless steel filter at the other end.
Note In the original inlet tubing kit, the solvent reservoir lines consisted of a 3 m (10 ft)
length of 0.0625 in. × ID1/8 in. OD, FEP tubing with a flangeless PEEK fitting at one
end and a 20 μm particle size, stainless steel filter at the other end.
To install the solvent lines, follow these procedures:
• Assembling the Solvent Reservoir Bottles
• Connecting the Solvent Reservoir Bottles to the Degassing Unit
• Priming the Degassing Membranes
 To assemble the solvent reservoir bottles
1. Locate the color-coded solvent line assemblies.
2. Connect each solvent reservoir line as follows:
a. Label the solvent reservoir bottle cap (A, B, C, or D).
b. Pull the stainless steel sinker frit (solvent reservoir filter) off the end of the
solvent line.
c. Pass the tubing through the solvent reservoir bottle cap.
