Description
Reading/writing the S registers
Some S registers can only be modified in certain limits. The modem still
reports OK, although the value has not changed as specified. Some regis-
ters can only be read. We recommend therefore to check the results after
each write attempt, using the ATSn? command.

The parity bit is correctly sent via the connection to the mo-
bile network as 8th bit. This setting should be used if data
transfer problems occur with the data formats 7E1 or 7O1.
Format of modem messages
This command determines, whether the modem transfers messages to the
PC in short or long form.
Messages to the PC in short form, i.e. only the error number
ATV0
(default)
Messages to the PC in long form, i.e. the error text
ATV1
