Night Ice making Mode (Group C)

Night Ice making Mode causes the unit to manufacture ice during the night hours only. This results in less Ice mak-
ing noise during the day, as well as using cheaper energy in some cases. This mode can be overridden at any time
by touching the ICEMAKER key or MAX ICE keys.
When enabled, the ice icon is off during the day and power to the icemaker and Ice making accessories is interrupt-
ed after the first time the icemaker goes 3 hours without requesting water. Power remains off between the hours of
6:00 AM to 12:00 AM (06:00 to 00:00) with power returning at 12:00 AM (00:00). Then if no ice is called for by 3:00
AM power to the Ice making system will remail off until 12:00 AM the following day.
Night Ice making should remain as an active mode in the event of setting the Emergency Suspend Mode, Demand
Response Mode and/or Sabbath Mode.
NOTE: Night Ice making Mode cannot be activated unless the local smart grid controller's time and day have been
set.

Smart Grid Defrost Feature (Not a Mode, but A Feature when Connected to a Smart Grid)
With this feature the appliance will automatically work to adjust its defrost scheduling so that it defrosts only during
the night hours, between 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM (22:00 to 06:00). In some cases this will not be possible, however in
general this feature will cause defrosting to occur during periods of low power usage and cheaper energy.
NOTE: This feature does not need to be set or activated however the local smart grid controller's time and day
have been set.
