INTERNAL DISPENSER CONTROL INPUT OPERATIONS

Side-by side models equipped with an ice and water dispenser inside the refrigerator compartment utilize push pad-
dles with micro switches behind the paddles to dispense water and ice. Below are the input operations a customer
or Service Technician may perform at the internal dispenser panel.
The dispenser assembly operates on low DC voltage. Never apply AC line voltage to the dispenser compo-
nents, doing so will damage the appliance.
Dispensing Water
To operate the water dispenser, place the rim of a class
up around the positioning lip at the base of the dis-
penser, then press and hold the WATER paddle until
the desired amount of water is received (See Figure 2-
36A).
NOTE: Before the water dispenser is used for the first
time, or after servicing the water dispensing system, the
water reservoir tank, water lines and plumbing connec-
tion must be purged of air. Do this by touching the
WATER key three (3) consecutive times for one (1)
minute each. Do not touch the WATER key for three
(3) straight minutes, as this will cause the "H2 L0" error
and the dispenser will stop working.
Dispensing Ice
To operate the ice dispenser, place the rim of a class up
around the positioning lip at the base of the dispenser,
then press and hold the ICE paddle until the desired
amount of ice is received (See Figure 2-36B).
ADDITIONAL DISPENSER NOTES:
• If any part of the dispenser system should fail, the
appropriate fault code will be logged.
• When in Sabbath Mode, the dispenser is disabled.
