Chapter 5 – Maintenance and Upgrade
This chapter describes maintenance procedures and how to upgrade platforms and licenses.

Caution: Unless specifically stated otherwise, downgrading Radware platforms is not supported.
Downgrading a platform may cause loss of configuration and unexpected behavior.

Shutting Down and Rebooting

To shut down the platform
• In the CLI, navigate to Administration, andat the prompt enter:
• Using WBM, select Device > shutdown device.
• Using APSolute Vision:
a. In the Monitoring & Control perspective navigation pane System tab, right-click the platform
name and select Shutdown.
b. Click Yes in the Confirmation Required dialog box.
To reboot the platform
• In the CLI, navigate to Administration, and at the prompt enter:
reboot
• Using WBM, select Device > Reboot.
• Using APSolute Vision:
a. In the Monitoring & Control perspective navigation pane System tab, right-click the platform
name and select Reboot.
b. Click Yes in the Confirmation Required dialog box.

Managing Configuration Files

You should always save existing configurations to ensure off-device configuration backup.
To create a configuration backup in the Web interface, select System Configuration > Backup /
Upgrade.
