6.2.1

Overview

The FR-E800-SCE inverters support PROFIsafe as the PROFINET application.
Input and output signals for safety sub-functions can be controlled using PROFIsafe.
 Communication specifications
The communication specifications are shown in the following table.

 Safety communication error detection
When a communication error is detected by PROFIsafe, "E.SAF" (fault detail code 69) is displayed and the inverter output is
shut off. This function is activated regardless of the setting of Pr.502 Stop mode selection at communication error.
 Additional Data Exchange for the FR-E800-SCE
In addition to Data Exchange types supported by FR-E800-E, the following Data Exchange types are supported by FR-E800-
SCE.

 Communication status LEDs
The FR-E800-SCE inverter has the network status LEDs equivalent to PROFINET. Refer to the FR-E800 Instruction Manual
(Communication).
 Precautions for status LEDs
Communication status LEDs are not provided as included in the safety system. LED status may not be always correct. Do not
use them as operation indicators. They are used only to check the status for test operation and during troubleshooting.
