8. Type exit to return to the CLI of the router.
The Juniper CLI prompt appears.
9. At the CLI prompt (>), type request chassis fpc restart slot <slot_number>
where <slot_number> is the slot number of the TGM550.
The TGM550 media gateway processor resets.
10. Log in to the TGM550 again.
The software banner that scrolls on the screen shows the new firmware version.
11. If you did no see the firmware version on the software banner, then, at the
TGM550-00<super># prompt, type show mg list_config.
The system displays the list of firmware.

Checking the authentication file ID (Avaya personnel only)

The authentication file is installed at the factory. To retrieve the AF ID (product ID), perform the
following steps:
1. At the TGM550 command line prompt, type show auth-file info.
The system displays the following information:
TGM550-003(super)# sh auth-file info
Authentication File (AF) information:
AF ID : 7000003638-020906-26.16.0
Date/time :
Major release :
TGM550-003(super)#
2. In the AF ID field, record the 10-digit AF ID. In the example, the AF ID is

installation is complete.
Also, use the AF ID to retrieve the appropriate password if you later must log in to the
TGM550 with the craft login.
