Assembling the columns

3.1. Column with one Behnke door intercom station

Height 1.75 m for pedestrians (for example)
1 ▸ Fix the door intercom station or the module
in question to the column. To do so, please use
the hexagon socket screws provided in the door
intercom station/frame box. Use a clamping
plate (cf. page 41) to fix the door intercom
station's lower end.
2 ▸ Using the clamping plate, fix the cover panel
with the chamfer on the upper side in a way that
the straight cut edge points towards the end of
the column. The chamfered edge of the closing
module points towards the Behnke door inter-
com station or towards the module frame. Use
a second clamping plate to fix the lower edge of
the cover panel. The M 4 hexagon socket screws
required for this purpose are included in the
closing module box.
3 ▸ Use the cover panels without chamfer to
close the remaining column orifice. In case
the cover panel is too long, please shorten it
accordingly. Please mind the column base width
of 10 mm. The cover plate should be inserted
approx. 8 mm into the base of the column. Fix
it as described in item 2. The required hexagon
socket screws are included with the cover plate.
Mount the suitably shortened cover plate with
the drill holes facing upwards. The lower end is
inserted into the orifice of the column base. The
dimensions of the column base on page 45
must be observed.
