Please note that Behnke intercoms and accessories may only be installed and serviced by qualified
electricians, IT, and telecommunications technicians who comply with the corresponding standards
and regulations. Before carrying out service and maintenance work, please ensure that the devices
are safely disconnected from the power grid (unplug power supply unit) and are disconnected from
any other network and that all relevant safety regulations will be maintained.

Maintenance of Behnke stainless steel products
You have chosen a high-quality, weather-resistant and durable stainless steel product from Behnke!
Please mind the following in order to ensure that you can enjoy your stainless steel product for a
long time: To guarantee a long shine of the material, regular maintenance of the stainless steel
surfaces with suitable cleaning agents is necessary. Please follow the instructions for use of your
stainless steel care product. Should rust traces appear on the surface nevertheless, it is so-called
rust film. These airborne particles can be easily removed by cleaning the surface with a suitable
cleaning agent. To prevent corrosion damage, please avoid permanent contact with other metals.
Care of Behnke products with powder-coated surface
The following recommendations must be observed
for the optimum care and cleaning of powder-coated surfaces:

Use soft cloths or industrial cotton wool only. Vigorous rubbing should be avoided.
▸
In case of light soiling, clean with pure water (cold or lukewarm), if necessary with small quanti-
ties of neutral or slightly alkaline detergents.
▸ Commercially available microfibre cloths are suitable for removing grease stains and fingerprints.
▸
In case of persistent soiling, such as greasy or oily substances, cleaning can be carried out with
aromatic-free petrol hydrocarbons (check beforehand on non-visible surfaces).
▸
No long exposure times of the cleaning agent. If necessary, repeat the cleaning process after 24
hours. Rinse with clean, cold water immediately after cleaning.
▸ Do not use any scratching, abrasive agents.
▸ Do not use acidic or strongly alkaline cleaning and wetting agents.
▸
Do not use organic solvents containing esters, ketones, alcohols, aromatics, glycol ethers, halo-
genated hydrocarbons or similar substances.
▸
Surface and cleaning agent temperature < 25°C (Do not use steam jet equipment).
▸
Do not use high-pressure cleaning equipment.
