7 Setting the speech volume

Setting the volume of the PC user in
the direction of the door station.
• At the back of the TLM/LL 611-...,
set the potentiometer "Volume" to
the middle setting, "Boost" switch
off (as-delivered status).
• Establish a connection to a PC
user.
• At the PC, open the menu
"Software Client configuration" and
select the tab "Speech volume".
• Using the "Microphone"
controller, starting from 0% set the
volume in the direction of the door
so that when a person speaks loudly
into the microphone of the receiver
or headset, no distortion is audible
at the door loudspeaker.
As a rule, the optional field
microphone amplifier remains
switched on. This field can only
be switched off in the case of
microphones with a very high output
level.
• At the TLM/LL 611-... use the
potentiometer "Loudspeaker" or the
boost function to set the optimum
volume.

• At the back of the TLM/LL 611-...,
set the "microphone" potentiometer
to the middle setting (as-delivered
status).
• Establish the connection to the PC.
• At the PC, select Reproduction in
the Speech volume menu.
Ensure that "Tone off" has been
selected under the heading
Microphone.
• Using buttons + and –, set the
optimum volume starting from 0%.
• To ensure that the levels are
stored, these must be performed via
the configuration menu.
Level adjustment DCA 740-...
Set the volume of the speech
connection to the telephone system.
• At the back of the TLM/LL 611-...,
set the potentiometer "Volume" to
the middle setting, "Boost" switch
off (as-delivered status).
• Establish the link to the TC system
or public network telephone.
• With potentiometer P1 in the
DCA 740-01, set the optimum
volume at the door.
If applicable, regulate the
"Loudspeaker" potentiometer or
use the boot function to achieve the
required volume.
• With potentiometer P2 in the
DCA 740-0, set the optimum
volume in the receiver.
(Comparison: Normal volumes with
public network calls).
If applicable, regulate the
"Microphone" potentiometer at the
TLM/LL 611-..., in order to achieve
the required volume.
