Checking the oil level
Check the oil level in the engine when the machine is
standing horizontally with the engine switched off.
Remove the dipstick and wipe it clean. Then
insert the dipstick again.
Take the dipstick out again and read the oil level.
The oil level should be between the markings
on the dipstick. If the level is approaching the
"ADD" mark, lower notch, top up the oil to the
"FULL" mark, upper notch on the dipstick,
see viscosity below.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Used engine oil is hazardous to health and
must not be disposed of on the ground; it
should always be disposed of at a workshop
or appropriate disposal location.
Avoid skin contact; wash with soap and
water in case of spills.
Changing the engine oil
WARNING!
Engine oil can be very hot if it is
drained directly after stopping the
engine. Allow the engine to cool
somewhat first.
Change the oil when the engine is at a tem-
perature hot enough for any dirt to flow out
more easily.
1.
Position the wheels fully to the left.
2.
Place a vessel underneath the drain plug.
3.
Remove the dipstick. Remove the drain
plug on the oil pan and allow the oil to
run into the vessel.
4.
Clean and install the drain plug and
tighten.
5.
Replace the oil filter if necessary.
6.
Fill with oil in accordance with the
viscosity chart.
7.
Run the engine to operating tempera-
ture, then check that there is no leakage
from the oil plug or oil filter.
8.
Check the oil level, top up if necessary.
