7.2.3 Menu Functional Area
At the top menu level, the Menu / Functional Area contains the sub menu icons for the
functions provided by that menu and the functional screens for each of those menus such as
the Inbox for the Texting Menu or the Reporting Rate selections for the Tracking Menu.
7.2.4 Bottom Dock
The bottom Dock contains the menu icons for the four main menus; Texting, Tracking,
Utilities, and Settings. This segment is always visible and allows the user to switch between
top level menus quickly.
7.3 Texting Menu
The Texting menu, depicted in Figure 26, allows the user to compose, save, view, send
canned or free-text messages, check mailbox for incoming messages and setup an
automatically mailbox check frequency. This menu has the following sub-menu items:
Inbox
Compose
Include GPS
7.4 Tracking Menu
The Tracking menu for the SHOUT app is shown in Figure 27. There are a variety of
different menus used to interact with the tracking function. Some menus, such as Geofences
and Call Out, require the user to use SatTerm to configure parameters beforehand. For these
options, user is referred to Section 6.2 Using SatTerm for more details. This menu has the
following sub-menu items:
