Inserting/Removing a Disk
CAUTION
When inserting or removing a disk, be careful not to touch the drive lens

<CF-Y2 series>
Slide the drive power/open switch (A) to the right while the
computer's power is on.
<CF-W2 series>
Slide the open lever (A) while the computer's power is on.
A "beep" will sound, and the disk cover will open slightly.
(When the speaker function is disabled, e.g., by the key combination the Fn+F4
key , there will be no beep sound.)
If the DVD MULTI drive indicator

Raise the disk cover a little.
The disk cover will open up to about 70 degrees. Do not force it open any wider.
If a hand is on the disk cover or the display is closed, and the disk cover cannot
open, the drive will not be accessed correctly. In this case, open and close the disk
cover once or restart the computer, and then try accessing once more.
