Alternating between inspiration and expiration, the
pressure gauge should indicate a consistent
inspiratory pressure and the preset end-expiratory
pressure of approximately 5 cmH
The display should now shows a minute ventilation of
CMV MV = 6.0
with a tolerance of ±1.0 L/min.
Disconnect test lung.
Display after approximately 25 seconds:
CMV MV = 0.0
Paw low
together with an intermittent audible alarm.
Reconnect test lung.
The intermittent audible alarm tone should stop after
approximately 25 seconds.

1 Press » Reset« to clear the display.
If values are outside tolerance:
Replace flow sensor.

2 Set »PEEP« knob to 0 cmH
3 Reading on pressure gauge at end of expiration:
0 cmH O +2 cmH O tolerance.
