5.8. Storing
Mower should be stored in dry places, secured against precipitation. If the mower is expose to
precipitation, maintenance work should be carried out during storing. In order to save storing area
e.g. under shed, houses, etc. the mower may be stored in vertical position (Fig. 20) but always on
paved surface. Storing the mower on an unpaved surface is inadmissible, for it may cause
the mower to lose stability and in consequence lead to falling for what the manufacturer shall not
bear any responsibility.
CAUTION:
When stored for longer period (e.g. in winter season), the machine
should be erected in standstill position on paved surface (Fig. 20)
(tighten cylinders). Storing the mower in horizontal position may cause
faster wearing (rusting) of the cylinder from inside (through vent valve)
by being penetrated by moisture from air.
6. MOUNTING AND ADJUSTMENTS
6.1. Mounting and timing of the knives
The knives should be mounted as shown in Fig. 21 and 22. The knives recommended by
the manufacturer have dimensions 115x49x4 and comply with the norm PN-EN 795:2002. Mount
the knives according to the rule, that cutting edges should be directed towards the ground, so that
a knife will lift the grass after cutting.
