19. Click Open, and log in to the management server with username service and
password Mi@Dim7T.

The EZ-Setup Wizard performs several tasks on a cluster, including:
Connects the local directors

Sets the director count and Cluster ID

Commissions the directors

Configures the Network Time Protocol (NTP)

(Dual-engine or quad-engine cluster only) Configures the Fibre Channel switches

Enables the back-end and COM ports

Creates Web Server and VPN certificates

Creates a Web Server certificate keystore

Configures EMC Call Home and SYR
◆
(Optional) Sets up SNMP for gathering performance statistics
◆
(Optional) Configures VPLEX for authentication directory service (LDAP/AD)

From the VPlexcli prompt, type the following command, and follow the steps in the
automated interview:
configuration system-setup
Note: At any time during the interview part of the setup, you can exit EZ-Setup by typing the
command exit. To resume the setup, type the command configuration system-setup again.
EZ-Setup returns to the first step, and any values you already entered now appear as the new
default values.
From the VPlexcli prompt, type the following command:
version
In the output, confirm that the Product Version matches the required version in the
VPLEX release notes.
To zone storage to VPLEX, you need to know the port WWNs of the back-end VPLEX
ports (the ports that connect to the storage arrays).

Using the VPLEX Port WWN Calculator — If you have not already done this,
download the calculator from Powerlink to your laptop. Then launch the
calculator and follow the instructions.
