GeoSynchrony 4.2. (Detailed tasks are described later in this chapter.)
Set IP address and hostname
Launch the EZ-Setup Wizard
Verify the GeoSynchrony version
Expose back-end storage *
Resume the EZ-Setup Wizard
Create and back up a meta-volume
Enable the front-end ports
Register the cluster
Complete the Metro setup
Create a logging volume
Expose storage to hosts

Note: You must set up both VPLEX Metro clusters as described in this chapter. You cannot set
each cluster up individually and then join them later.

* NOTE: You can use the VPLEX Port WWN
Calculator to expose back-end storage before
you perform the EZ-Setup. (Download the
calculator from Powerlink to your laptop. Then
launch the calculator and follow the instructions.)
