9-44 CHASSIS
CUSHION ROD BEARING
• Insert the spacer into bearings and check the play when mov-
ing the spacer up and down.
• If excessive play is noted, replace the bearings with a new
one.
• Remove the cushion lever bearings 1 with the special tool.
% 09913-70210: Bearing installer set (25 mm)
$
The removed bearings must be replaced with new
ones.
CUSHION LEVER AND CUSHION LEVER RODS
• Inspect the cushion lever and cushion lever rods for damage.
If any defects are found, replace it with a new one.
SWINGARM
• Inspect the swingarm for damage.
If any defects are found, replace the swingarm with a new
one.
SHOCK ABSORBER
• Inspect the shock absorber body and bush for damage and oil
leakage. If any defects are found, replace the shock absorber
with a new one.

Do not attempt to disassemble the rear shock
absorber unit. It is unserviceable.
