Operating Instructions for SATA FDG
9.3. Motor driven agitator
Danger!
Risk of death by electric shock
Installation and maintenance work on live parts can cause serious phys-
ical injury and even death.
→ Before working on the motor-driven agitator, disconnect it from power
and make sure that it cannot be unintentionally switched on again. Con-
nect the electric motor only to electrical circuits that can be switched off
with an all-pole disconnect switch.
■ Connect the motor-driven agitator to power as described in the included
documentation.

10. Normal Operation

Danger!
Risk of death caused by exploding paint pressure tank.
Electrostatic charging during tank operation can generate sparks, caus-
ing the paint pressure tank to explode.
→ Ground the pressure tank properly.
→ The leakage resistance must be < 1MOhm.
→ Use only approved, anti-static hoses.
10.1. Agitators
Manual agitator
The paint can be agitated manually using the hand crank [9-1] / [13-1].
Pneumatic agitator
Notice!
Risk of damage due to improperly conditioned compressed air
Improperly conditioned compressed air can damage the pneumatic mo-
tor.
→ Operation of the pneumatic motor requires technically clean and oiled
compressed air. Approximately 1 drop of acid-free oil is required per
minute.
