8.3. Usage with material cir-
culation
Notice!
The following connection possi-
bilities are recommended when
using the automatic gun with
material circulation.
■ Insert a back-pressure regulator at
the material output.
■ The cross-section of the material
return pipe must be smaller than
the material feed pipe.
This ensures there is always
plenty of material in the fluid tip.
The automatic gun can be used
with material circulation. This
keeps the used material in mo-
tion so that it does not come to a
standstill.
■ Disconnect the automatic gun from
the compressed air circuit and the
material supply.
■ Unscrew the dummy plug [5-1]
from the nozzle head.
■ Connect the circulation pipe with
seal to the material connection for
material circulation [5-2].
Notice!
To use the automatic gun again
without material circulation, screw
the dummy plug in as far as it
will go. Secure with Loctite 242.
Check for any damage and soil-
ing and replace corresponding
components as required.

Attention!
Loose screws can cause damage
to parts or result in malfunctions.
→ Tighten all screws by hand and
check that they are screwed tight.
9.1. First use
The automatic gun is supplied fully
assembled and ready for operation.
After unpacking, check:
■ Automatic gun damaged.
■ Scope of supply complete (see
chapter 5).
Attention!
Using soiled compressed air can
cause malfunctions.
→ Use clean compressed air. For
example with SATA filter 444
(Art. No. 92296).
■ Check that all screws are screwed
tight.
■ Screw the fluid tip tight.
■ Rinse material passages with a
suitable cleaning solution (see
chapter 11).
■ Align the air cap.
■ Connect the control air (min. 3 bar).
■ Connect the spraying air.
■ Connect the material supply.
Notice!
Test air caps are available from
SATA to help adjust the spraying
parameters (see chapter 13).
