Ethernet Switch Module

An Ethernet Switch Module (ESM) is a field replaceable expansion module that provides physical
interfaces on the VSP 8400. The VSP 8400 provides four expansion slots.
The VSP 8400 supports the following ESMs.
8424XS
• 8424XS — EC8404001-E6 – provides 24 1/10G SFP+ ports.
• 8424XS (GSA version) — EC8404001-E6GS – provides 24 1/10G SFP+ ports.
