Restart after emergency
shutdown/power failure
When the power returns to normal no experiments that were running at the time of
emergency shutdown will be continued. Proceed as follows:

A UPS can eliminate data loss during and after a power failure, and allow time
for a controlled shut-down of Ettan IPGphor 3.
Action
Start the instrument, see Turn on power and run diagnostic program, on
page 66.
Restart the software.
When the system is connected, the log event will be stored in the system
log.
If you wish to continue a run, set up and run a new experiment with the
appropriate/remaining steps to complete the run in the best way.
The Ettan IPGphor computer shuts down.
Any running experiments will be continued and com-
pleted.
Scanned images will be saved and uploaded to the
computer when computer contact has been re-estab-
lished.
