Position ,retaining rings over crankshaft
into grooves in bearing bore with ring openings
towards cylinder. Thick retaining ring
(.050)
on
power take off end, thin retaining ring
(.030)
or
thick
(.050)
on flywheel end.
NOTE: Top retaining ring maybe thin or thick
to take up end clearance at time of manufac-
ture.
Lubricate governor arm with Lawn-Boy
2-
CYCLE ASHLESS OIL.
Install governor arm, washers and snap
ring into crankcase half in sequence as shown.
NOTE: Install governor arm snap ring with
sharp edge facing outward.
Rotate governor arm to verify freedom of move-
ment and
push
slotted end inward to insure that
snap ring is properly seated.
NOTE: Liberally coat connecting rad bear-
ings, wrist pin and governor assembly with
Lawn-Boy 2-CYCLE ASHLESS OIL.
Apply
a thin bead of Lawn-Boy Adhesive
Sealant, Part No. 609790, to crankcase.
Spread evenly with your fingers over the entire
flange.
NOTE: Use care not to get sealant into bear-
ing bores or bolt holes.
