Remove upper right hand side handle mounting
screw.

Slide bail block out of handle assembly.
Remove self-propelled bail from handle.
NOTE: Removal of blade control bail is nec-
essary to achieve clearance required when re-
moving self-propelled bail.

Remove cable "z" end from self-propelled
bail.
Remove E-Ring from cable in recess of lower
handle console.
Remove upper and lower drive belt covers.

Remove lower nut securing self-propelled
cable to cable anchor. Raise threaded end
portion of cable and slide cable wire out through
slot in cable anchor.
Remove spring from actuator arm and bearing
assembly.
Remove left side handle mounting knob.
Twist lower handle section slightly and remove
cable to outside of housing.
Push cable up into handle enough to remove
nut from upper end of cable in console.
Remove cable by pulling down through handle
tube.
Save washer in console for cable installation.
NOTE: Cable flange may become lodged
against nut inside lower handle knuckle. DO
NOT remove knuckle mounting screw and nut.
Insert finger into knuckle to release cable flange
from nut to allow for easy removal.
