BLADE SHARPENING
SAFETY WARNING: Wear proper eye
protection when grinding to prevent
eye injury.
Sharpen the blade using a file
or
grinder.
Sharpen only the leading edge.

The blade should be ground at an angle
and not more than 5" beyond the outside edges
(ends) and no less than 2" from the trailing edge.
BLADE BALANCING

Check blade balance by placing the
ten-
ter hole of the blade over a nail
or
screwdriver
shank clamped horizontally in a vise.
See if either end of blade rotates downward.
