BLADE INSTALLATION
Zone and Electric Start Models:

Examine blade collar, replace if bent or
worn.
Reinstall blade collar onto crankshaft taper with
drive lugs facing down.
Install blade onto blade collar with curved ends
toward the housing.
Install blade nut.
Torque blade nut to 560 In.-lbs.

SAFETY WARNING: The blade nut
must be replaced after being re-
moved and reinstalled 4 times. The locking
feature of the nut will have decreased and
the blade could loosen if replacement
is
not
made.
Reconnect the spark plug lead.
NOTE: OIL INJECTION MODELS; To pre-
vent possible powerhead damage resulting
from air entering oil line during servicing; we
recommend draining fuel tank and running
mower using a 64:i fuel/oil pre-mix until no air
bubbles are observed in oil lines. Minimum 20
minutes.
Blade Brake Clutch (BBC) Models:

Install blade onto blade carrier with curved
ends toward the housing.
Install two blade screws.
Torque blade screws to
380
in.-lbs.
