Reassemble brake assembly to engine
and secure.
NOTE: Install right side shoulder bolt from
under brake assembly.
Torque shoulder bolt to 155 In.-lbs.
(13 ft.-lbs.) (18
N.M)
Install left side shoulder bolt from top.
Torque bolt to 75 in.-ibs. (6 ft.-lbs.) (8
N.M)
Check to be sure assembly moves freely with no
binding.

Assemble cable into arm of brake and
switch assembly. Insert cable "z" end into brake
actuator lever.

Using a piece of rope or spring hook,
reassemble return spring to brake assembly.
Reassemble fuel tank mounting bracket to
engine.
Torque mounting screws to 155 in.-lbs.
(13 ft.-ibs.) (18 N.M)
Electric Start Model: Install and adjust
electric starter. Refer to Section 6 for ad-
justment procedure.
Assemble fuel/oil tank to shroud and secure
with three screws.
Torque mounting screws to 55 in.-lbs.
(4 ft.-lbs.) (6 N.M)
Insert spring clip through bracket in fuel/oil tank.
Reinstall fuel line to fuel shut-off valve and
secure with clamp.
Electric Start Model: Reconnect battery
connector. Reassemble rear access door.
Reconnect spark plug lead.
NOTE: OIL INJECTION MODELS; To pre-
vent possible powerhead damage resulting
from air entering oil line during servicing; we
recommend draining fuel tank and running
mower using a 64:l fuel/oil pre-mix until no air
bubbles are observed in oil lines. Minimum 20
minutes.
