Reinstall paper air filter in filter base. Be sure the
paper air filter is fully seated in the filter base and
doesn't pucker allowing direct passage of air
and dirt into engine.
Reinstall paper air filter cover. Hook cover
tabs into slots on air filter base. Rotate into
position and tighten two mounting screws se-
curely.
NOTE: Operating the engine without in place
will shorten engine life. Operation without pre-
filter will shorten life of paper air filter.
CARBURETOR REMOVAL
Close fuel shut-off valve.

Loosen two screws from the air cleaner
cover assembly and swing cover downward and
remove paper air filter and pre-filter.
Remove fuel line from carburetor and drain fuel
into a suitable container.
