12. Communication

12.1 Calling Operation

Multiple types of calls are possible on VoCALL 16 – call between any panel and an
Outstation; call between two panels. Call between two Outstations is not allowed.
Procedure to initiate and receive a call is described below.
1. making a call from an outstation
Type A outstations can initiate the call by lifting the handset from the housing.
Type B outstations can initiate the call by pressing the "Call" button on the
front of the unit.
2. receiving the call on outstation
Type A outstations will receive the call by lifting the handset from the housing.
Type B outstations will receive the call by pressing the "call" button on the
front of the unit.

ote:
Dial/Cadence tone will be played on handset (Type A) or Speaker (Type B) to
provide re-assurance to caller, until the call is accepted by Panel. Busy tone
will be played if another call is already in progress.
3. Ending a call from an outstation
Type A outstations can end the call by placing the handset back on the cradle
in the housing.
Type B outstations can end the call by pressing the 'End Call' button on the
front of the unit.
