15. Indications
15.5 Audible Indication – Outstation
Buzzer is provided on the Outstation to provide audible indications in event of
following operations:
1. Fault Indication – the Buzzer within an outstation plays fault tone when a fault is
logged for the outstation by the system. The fault tone will repeat
continuously until:
a. Fault is corrected.
b. Fault is acknowledged by user on the panel. Buzzer would replay the fault
tone after 8 hours, if fault still exists.
2. Call Indication
a. Buzzer plays ring tone when there is an incoming call on
Type A Outstation.
b. Speaker plays ring tone when there is an incoming call on
Type B Outstation.
3. Cadence - On lifting the handset while making a call, user would hear a Cadence
as experienced with normal telephone service.
4. Busy Tone – If the called device is engaged in a call, calling device will hear busy
tone on handset or speaker.
5. Hold Tone – If current call is kept on hold by a Panel, other device will hear
hold tone.
6. No Tone – Enable input on panel is active and no calls are allowed on
the network.
