Advisory Display
The advisory display (Figure 16-63) provides
warning, caution, status, failure, and invalid
operation messages, and air data and flight
director mode status. Heavy workload periods,
such as takeoff and landing, inhibit low pri-
ority messages. The advisory display consists
of a display, three pushbuttons, and a bright-
ness knob.
The display CRT format is divided into 11
fields and four lines 26 characters wide.

visory display over the ASCB. The advisory
display unit generates both operational and
warning/caution messages.
The operational messages consist of:
• SAT/TAT/TAS display
• FD lateral and vertical arm modes
• FD lateral and vertical active modes
• AFCS status messages
