Chaser holders
4.1. Tasks
The chaser holders function as a die for the chasers to mount them as cutting de-
vice.
They are thus designed that you may cut various threads within a certain range of
diameter- and lead angle with only one set of holders.
Please refer to the table of threads and holders on the pages 19 to 20 for more in-
formation concerning the suitable types of holders for the threads.
Should one of the threads not be listed in the tables, the holder can be chosen accor-
ding to the core diameter and the lead angle of the thread.
Please note that the core diameter of the thread and the angle of the holder should
approximately correspond to the lead angle of the thread.
Lead angle ≤ angle of the holder ≤ lead angle + 1°
Please note:
Only chaser holders with the same serial number may be used in one set of
holders.
Due to manufacturing reasons chaser holders are not available separate but
as a set.
4.2. Labelling
Figure 3 shows the labelling of the chaser holders including holder marking and
serial number.
