Grey cast iron fitting
On both* backflow protection devices:
• Disassemble the access panel <27> and remove the check
valve <16>.
• Clean the check valve and the interior of the backflow protection
device.
• Ensure that the check valve is free of damage. The seal must be
in optimum condition.
• Reinsert the check valve. Ensure here that the bevel <26> is in
the position depicted.
• Reinstall the access panel.
• Ensure that the ventilation unit is in the CLOSED position, see
[20].
* One (Mono) or two (Duo) backflow protection devices, depending
on station arrangement.

Cleaning the wastewater pump(s) housing

• Preparing the station for maintenance, draining, see 7.3.3
Clean both wastewater pumps, here:
• Unscrew all fastening bolts
All pumps are equipped with two fastenings on the fastening
flange.
• Lift out and clean the pump <14>.
• Ensure that the pump is free of damage.
• Clean the interior of the pump chamber <27>.
• Ensure that the ventilation hole is continuous.
• Ensure that the pump seal <29> is in optimum condition.
Prior to installing the pumps, it is advisable to clean the wastewater
container (see 7.3.6).
• Reinstall the pumps. Bolt tightening torque: 7 Nm

Cleaning the wastewater container and level detector

• Clean the wastewater container.
• Clean the immersion pipe and ensure that it contains no foreign bodies. Clean other level detectors, if
installed.
• Reinstall the maintenance port and immersion pipe. Tightening torque 3 Nm max.
