Use Passwords for Protection

Set up passwords to protect the Admin menu options, Transactions, and
Reports menu options.
Password Hierarchy
The password hierarchy, from highest to lowest, and with the highest
first, is as follows:
1.
Administrator Password
2.
Manager Password
3.
Supervisor Password
4.
Clerk Password
Admin Menu Password Protection
Admin menu options can be configured to prompt for an Administrator,
Manager, Supervisor, or Clerk password. Admin menu options that are
set up to be password protected, will not require entry of a User Name.
The application will accept the required password and any qualified
higher level passwords as shown in the Password Hierarchy.
The table below shows a list of the Admin menu options that can be
password protected, along with their associated parameters.
Admin Menu Option
Reports Menu
Clerk Menu
Batch Menu
Setup Menu
1.
At idle menu press [.,#*] for the Admin menu
2.
Key in Admin name then press [Enter]
ii. "BATCH IN BALANCE" is printed displayed if the
totals in the terminal are the same as those from
the host, otherwise, "OUT OF BALANCE" is
printed
iii. Terminal returns to the idle menu
