5. Key in the total purchase amount and press [Enter]
6. Terminal displays Pass Terminal to Customer, Press [Enter] and
then hand the terminal to cardholder
7. Cardholder swipes the card or inserts the chip card
NOTE: If cardholder is not present, merchant must enter card
number and expiry date manually and press [Enter]
8. Key in last 4 digits of the card number (if prompted to do so) and
then press [Enter] (This extra step helps to reduce fraud and
chargebacks)
9. Key in Approval Code
10. Follow the terminal prompts to complete the Sale transaction
If the terminal cannot read the credit card, merchant must enter the card
number manually and then use imprinter to take an imprint of the card
and retain a signed copy of it for his/her records.
6 – Void Transaction
If you have entered the wrong amount or need to cancel a transaction,
use the Void transaction (instead of Refund) wherever possible.
Transactions that are voided will not appear on cardholder statements.
NOTE:
Transactions can only be voided before they are settled.
1. At the Idle screen, press [Enter] to enter the main menu
2. Press 3 or use [F2] to scroll down till Void is highlighted and press
[Enter]
3. Enter Manager Password and press [Enter] (If password is
enabled)
4. Terminal prompts Void Pre-Auth, press [F1] for Yes and proceed
to Step 5, or [F4] for Non Pre-Auth void and proceed to Step 7
5. If Pre-Auth Void is selected in the step 4, merchant then selects
[F1] for All or [F4] for One
