12. The customer presses [F1] to select Yes to confirm the transaction
amount, and then is prompted for the tip method. Cardholder
presses the number that corresponds to the desired tip method (i.e.
[1] for Tip Percentage, [2] for Tip amount and [3] for No Tip).
If Cardholder presses [3], terminal displays "ENTER PIN". Proceed
to Step 13.
If Cardholder presses [1] or [2], Cardholder then follows the
terminal prompts to enter the desired tip percentage or tip amount,
after which terminal displays "ENTER PIN". Proceed to Step 13.
If the Tip Percentage option is not enabled, the customer should
simply key in the tip amount. To activate Tip Percentage option,
please contact the Global Payments Customer Care Centre.
13. Cardholder enters PIN. Terminal displays "Pass terminal to
merchant".
14. Customer hands the terminal back to merchant
15. Press [Enter] and the terminal starts to communicate with Global
Payments. Once the transaction is complete, the merchant copy of
the receipt is printed. It may be required that the cardholder sign
the receipt.
NOTE:
For chip transactions, check the receipt to determine if a
signature is required. Some chip cards may require:

16. Press [Enter] to print the customer copy of the receipt
17. Customer removes card from smart card reader
5 – Force Transaction
For Force Transactions:
1.
At the Idle screen, press [Enter] to access the main menu.
2.
Press 4 or use [F2] to highlight Force and then press 1 for Credit
3.
Key in Clerk ID (if enabled) and press [Enter]
4.
Key in Invoice # (if enabled) and press [Enter]
Both a PIN and signature
Signature only
PIN only
