7.1 Check-list for commissioning

Prior to the start of commissioning, check that all preparations have been completed correctly.

Check that the brine storage tank is sufficiently filled with the required salt.

Open the water feed valve of your system.

If it is unknown whether the water hardness is below 30 °dH: Use the test kit to check the hard‐
ness of the feed water.

Check the hardness of the softened water. The hardness must be < 0,1°dH.

Switch on the main switch or the emergency stop switch.

Check the water feed for sufficient pressure (approx. 2 bar downstream of the non-return
valve).
If the pressure exceeds 6 bar, install a pressure reducer.

Check that the brine storage tank is filled with softened water.

Check that the feed to the brine storage tank is stopped by the level switch.

Bleed the brine metering pump (bubbles in the hose?) and check if it pumps up to its setpoint.

Optional: Check the modem or internet connection, if available.
'SERVICE' menu, under 'Fill cell manually' press the [On] button.

Check the system's function.

After 2 hours of production:

Check the product's chlorine content by means of a thiosulfate titration (chemical order no.
17110946, van den Heuvel Watertechnologie b.v.).
After 1 week

For 1 week, check daily whether the water hardness is < 0.1 °dH.
