8.1.3 Electrolysis cells

Alarm: Flow through the electrolysis
cell too low
Alarm: Temperature at the outlet of
the electrolysis cell too high.
Alarm: Negative temperature differ‐
ence above the cells.
Alarm: Temperature difference is too
high.
This alarm occurs if the actual current is unusually high. The fol‐
lowing causes are possible:
A problem in the current measurement or control.
n
This alarm occurs if the actual voltage lies below the limit value.
The following causes are possible:
The fuse is faulty.
n
A problem with the voltage measurement.
n
A power unit is faulty.
n
This alarm occurs if the actual voltage lies above the limit value.
The following causes are possible:
No salt in the brine storage tank
n
Air in the brine pump
n
Faulty brine pump
n
Brine pump set incorrectly
n
Limescale in the electrolysis cells
n
A maximum of 2 electrolysis cells are fitted. The alarms for the
electrolysis cells are identical for all 2 electrolysis cells.
This alarm occurs if the flow at the output of one of the electrolysis
cells is too low. The following causes are possible:
One of the electrolysis cells has a leak.
n
The softened water feed is too low.
n
The flow sensor is faulty.
n
This alarm occurs if the temperature at the outlet of one of the
electrolysis cells is too high. The following causes are possible:
The temperature at the installation site of the system is too
n
high.
The process water temperature is too high.
n
The softened water feed is too low.
n
The brine concentration is too low.
n
There is limescale in the electrolysis cell.
n
This alarm occurs if the process water temperature is higher than
the temperature of the outlet water. The following causes are pos‐
sible:
The brine concentration is too low.
n
The process water temperature is too high.
n
This alarm occurs if there is too high a temperature difference. The
following causes are possible:
The temperature at the installation place is too low.
n
The process water temperature is too low.
