Chapter 4 – Viewing HDMI Protocol Data with your P-Scope
Overview
This chapter describes how to use the P-Scope to view HDMI protocol data from the HDMI source device under
test.
Running HDMI tests with the P-Scope
These procedures assume that you have powered up the P-Scope, connected your HDMI source device,
connected the Ethernet cable and established an IP connection to the P-Scope application over the Ethernet
interface from your PC. You should now have the P-Scope application open on your PC. The Capture Control
window should be open.
Capturing HDMI protocol data
The procedures below describe how to capture data from the device under test.
To capture data from the source device under test:
1. Configure the HDMI source device under test to output HDMI data. Make sure that the device is also putting
out audio.
2. Configure the mechanisms for triggering and capturing data from the Capture Control window. Use the
information in the figure and table below to configure the data capture.
