Using AIT Data Cartridges
AIT is the only tape to incorporate the unique Memory-In-Cassette (MIC) feature. The
MIC feature reduces file access time and expedites the operation of the drive.

Insert the AIT data cartridge in the DCM with the cartridge window facing the top of
the magazine. Correctly installed, the data cartridge snaps into the tape slot.
Remove the data cartridge by grasping the cartridge and pulling it straight out of the
DCM.
